Produced by MARION NEWLANDS

Performed in April 2002

Julia Darrow is recovering at home after a car crash in which her lover, John Haddrell, was killed.

They were pretending to be on a business trip. Julia develops a friendship with Haddrell’s widow, Margaret, who says she wants to care for her.

But how much did Margaret know about Julia and John? And why do items keep disappearing from around Julia’s home? Gradually, Margaret’s visits and Julia’s feelings of guilt and helplessness destroy her relationships with the other people in her life—her counsellor Anne and her handyman Gary.  Why does Margaret want to spend so much time with Julia?

Dead Guilty is a tense psychological drama by the author of Stepping Out.
