It's an unexpected start to the day for TV star Tom Lambert, as he wakes up to find he is sharing his flat with a stranger, the market researcher Lucy. Tom's day becomes even more bizarre when he takes a phone call from the Inland Revenue who are demanding back tax from him for his PR assistant, Miss Flint–who he has never heard of! His ex-wife Sarah, who is also his accountant, then reveals that she invented Miss Flint as a tax dodge. So now the tax people, in the shape of Dodds and C P Lens, are in hot pursuit for their missing dosh. Can Tom and Sarah save the day, particularly when Tom's daily help, Albert, who finds great difficulty in keeping his trap shut, is in attendance? If anyone ever has suggested that tax evasion is an unsuitable subject for comedy, the witty My Friend Miss Flint will certainly prove them wrong!
