Paula Barlow is a successful novelist who creates hell for everyone involved in her personal life. Her husband, Eliot, and his lover Denise think they have devised the perfect murder to get rid of her. But their scheme only causes an accident which gives Paula amnesia. As a result she can remember nothing of her previous life and has a completely different personality. But how much of the new Paula is real, or does she know more about the people who tried to kill her than she shows? Portrait of Murder is an unusual psychological thriller designed to keep the audience guessing until the end.
