For Your Wife

John Smith is a bigamous taxi driver with a highly structured daily routine which allows him to lead two separate lives. But this happy state of affairs cannot possibly last forever...can it? Of course not! It all starts to unravel when John is injured in a mugging incident and, in the confusion, he gives separate addresses at the police station and in hospital. The copper who brings John home tries to sort out the muddle. John tries to keep the lives he leads with his wives, Barbara and Mary, secret from each other, and from the police. But his desperation increases and everyone becomes involved, from Stanley, John's hapless friend, and Bobby, an outrageously camp new neighbour with a bath upstairs full of red paint, to Porterhouse, a detective who fancies himself as something of a social worker... ...and a farmer who keeps trying to dispose of two and a half acres of beetroot! Run For Your Wife is one of Ray Cooney's best known farces and is a sure fire, side splitting romp.
